    Applicant must be resident of Texas and a child or grandchild of a
    veteran who served in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada,
    Panama or the Persian Gulf.  Eligibility is based upon actual need,
    goals, objectives, character, citizenship, and war service of father,
    mother, grandfather or grandmother.  Scholarships are not limited
    to students in their senior year of high school.  Anyone meeting
    eligibility requirements may apply.

    Application form for $500 scholarships available after November 1 from
    local American Legion Auxiliary Units, at website above, or write to
    address above for information.
