    CHRISTUS US Family Health Plan offers one $2,500 scholarship for a
    student pursuing a 4-year (BS or BA) degree in nursing at an accredited
    Texas college/university.  Available to graduating high school seniors,
    college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.  College students
    must provide evidence of enrollment in an accredited College/University
    School of Nursing; credits from Junior College are accepted for
    foundation courses only.  Student's parent/step-parent/guardian must
    have served in the U.S. Military.  Selection is based on grades, essay
    ("Why I Have Selected Nursing As My Career") and financial merit.  This
    scholarship is awarded for one year; however, recipient may re-apply
    for consideration.

    There is no application, submit required information and essay by
    U.S.P.S. mail only to address above, (Attn:  USFHP Nursing
    Scholarship).
